Science ocassionally can produce some amazing and humbling images of our universe. Probably the most famous image was The Blue Marble taken by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft, at a distance of about 45,000 kilometres. It transformed how we view our Earth showing it as a unique and fragile planet in the middle of hostile space. Many consider this image to be one of the stimuly that started the eco movement in the 70's. Since then we have seen many amazing visualizations.

We don't know exactly how eating plants improves our immune system but we know they do. If you eat various plant foods regularly in big quantity with an emphasis on green leafy veggies you will virtually never get any colds of flu. To be precise you do get the rhino or flu viruses as they are unavoidable, but your immune system will be so strong it will fight the invaders off within hours and thus the virus will not have the chance to replicate itself within your body and make you feel sick.
Some time ago Quora sent its top writers a book titled “Best of Quora 2010-2012” to say thanks. Over a hundred answers and four hundred pages of the best answers across 18 different categories. Ubuntu for phones is a new unreleased phone operating system based on the wildly popular Linux flavour Ubuntu. It's free and truly open. Judging by the video below it is really well thought out. It takes everything that's good from all existing platforms, improves on it and delivers it with style. Here are the questions in my head regarding the subject:

25 years ago according to the Economist's metrics USA was the undisputed best country to be born in, closely followed by large European nations like France, Germany and Italy. While these countries are still a great place to be born in, apparently they are not on the top anymore. Social and economic development in Northern European countries like Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Holland along with Australia and New Zealand in the southern hemisphere raced ahead.
Memes are powerful. With the help of social media creatives who can distill an idea into a simple visual form can literally change the world. Watch this video of Israeli graphic designer Ronny Edry telling his story of how a simple poster (see below) shared on Facebook ignited a campaign and changed opinions of people to the better about each other after decades of political and religious brainwashing. A simple and honest message can shift public opinion and consequently political decisions in both democratic countries like Israel and in relatively closed societies like Iran.
